A Nerds Closet Listing Manager

A Nerds Closet Listing Manager (“ANC”) is a privately operated desktop application used to prepare and manage listings for an eBay store. This policy describes how the application handles information.

Information handled

ANC stores listing drafts, product photographs, descriptions, prices, item details, and identifiers associated with listing and inventory operations. To connect to eBay, it also handles account authorisation tokens and related account identifiers. The application is not designed as a buyer database and does not have a customer address-book feature.

Where information is stored

Listing drafts and copied product images are stored locally on the computer running ANC. eBay authorisation credentials and the token used to access the notification service are protected using Windows credential-protection mechanisms. The application may communicate with eBay APIs to perform user-initiated listing operations.

Account-deletion notifications

ANC uses a Cloudflare-hosted service to receive eBay Marketplace Account Deletion/Closure notifications. This service stores limited notification information needed to verify, track and process requests, such as request identifiers, eBay user identifiers, event timestamps and processing status. Requests are reviewed before any relevant data is deleted or a no-matching-data outcome is recorded. Test notifications are isolated from the live service.

Sharing and service providers

Information is exchanged with eBay as necessary for authorised eBay functionality and with Cloudflare for operation of the notification service and this privacy-policy website. ANC does not sell personal information.

Retention and security

Local listing information remains until it is edited or removed by the application operator, subject to backups and applicable obligations. Notification records are retained as needed for processing, duplicate detection, auditing and applicable requirements. Reasonable security measures are used, including HTTPS connections and protected credential storage; no system can guarantee absolute security.
